Learning
Teach our students best practice business skills and effective leadership skills.
It is our desire to build tomorrows’ leaders. JAK® will teach financial, marketing and leadership skills to assist our students to become accomplished leaders and help them to establish a foundation on which to build solid business relationships in the future. In addition to learning business skills, the students will learn how to effectively work together to accomplish their common goals.
Just About Kids® is seeking volunteers students, parents, retired teachers, community members anyone who would be interested in participating.
Giving
Provide a structured "giving" program.
JAK® provides a structured organization in which students will learn to identify the needs of their school and learn how to effectively provide for those needs. The students will actively participate in Board meetings, fund raising, awareness programs - including public speaking, grant review and grant writing, as well as, participating in the on-going development of the JAK® Foundation.
Learning to Give
Teaching our students the importance of giving back and providing them with the skills to facilitate the "Giving" process.
Focusing on the issue of budgets cuts in our schools, students will seize the opportunity to to evaluate new approaches to learning and advance sustainable solutions that will unlock our community's potential to create value for our schools. Student's will take ownership of determining how they can make meaningful contributions to their school and community beginning a life-long journey of leadership and service.

Just About Kids Foundation - JAK is a non profit 501c3 organization formed by a group of district patrons for the purpose of providing financial support to KHS to preserve and increase the value of the public school education. The goal is to ensure the tradition of excellence that has made Kingwood High School a top-rated sought after school. Our goal is to teach entrepreneurial and leadership skills while inspiring a sense of philanthropic service. We want our students to be able to become Social Entrepreneurs.
Just About Kids Foundation (JAK ), a Service Learning organization, raises funds exclusively through private donations. Funds donated to JAK will provide unique educational experiences at Kingwood High School that include:
* Grants for classroom enrichment activities
* Programs that directly benefit students
* Equipment and materials that challenge students at all levels
We are part of a Community effort to help provide resources for our schools.
